Outlook Express: Unable to send mail

Outlook Express will not allow me to send or reply mail but receives mail without any problems. I continually get promps that state that I need to reload my address book and another prompt that tells me I cannot use the outgoing mail function. I updated OE with all the patches and updates and I am still experiencing the same problem. Any suggestions?
 
It sounds like your sent items folder is full, to the
point of corruption.

Go to find files and do a search for *.dbx on your main
drive. You want to delete the folder called Sent Items.dbx

If you have items in that folder that you MUST have,
rename it or move it instead of deleting it. I don't know
how to recover items from a .dbx once it gets too big.
