Outlook Express slow to load

[Slam]

A stand-alone PC with XP Pro, "Do not allow Messenger to
run" enabled. Since changing this setting it takes sveral
seconds to load Outlook Express.

The Help suggests a setting in Express (clear
the 'Automatically log on to your messenger service')
which does not even exist! I have looked at several PCs
with XP Pro - none have this setting.

Greetings Slam,

To fix this, close Outlook Express, then download and run the following .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/stopmessenger_oe.reg

After this, Outlook Express should return to full speed.
