I have a client and server XP Professional PC. Is it
possible to configure Outlook Express to share the
messages file so that when I login from either the client
or the server I can see the same messages?

That works fine so long as the message store is on a local drive and
your two accounts aren't logged on at the same time. It's not a good
idea to access an OE message store across a network. File corruption is
the inevitable result.

OE uses the message store and registry keys. Eventually the unsynced
registry keys would put the two stations out of whack. If you use a
secondary identity in OE, you can export one Identities key and import
it to the other machine to keep the registry in sync. Just how hard do
you want to work to twist OE into something it isn't? OE is not a
network mail system. You want a web-based mail reader.

If you still want to pursue this, I suggest you read
insideoe.tomsterdam.com to learn all about OE message stores, reg keys,
file corruption, etc.
