I just talked with Tech Support at Microsoft who said that
the Outlook Express for Mac users is now obsolete and that
I had to write to you. I hope you can help!!!
I am a MacG3 (9.1 OS) user with a challenge with my
Outlook Express e-mail service:
1. Question: How to delete old mail boxes/addresses? The
instructions given under Outlook Express "Help" do not seem
to work. When I go under "Tools" then to "Accounts" either
no accounts appear or only the account which is presently
open.
2. Question: One of my primary accounts cannot at present
be accessed or opened - When I attempt to open it, this
message comes up:
"Corrupt OE Rules file". Is there a way to FIX this so that
I can access this account.
3. Question: Once I delete the old mail boxes/addresses I
want to know how to set up new addresses to replace them.
How is this accomplished?
4. Question: 2 years ago when I first established my new
account with Adelphia as my Internet provider, they had me
set up my e-mail service through Outlook Express. Now
Adelphia has set up Adelphia Powerlink and I can also now
access my e-mail directly through the Adelphia Powerlink. I
am confused now as to how to efficiently navigate the two
(Microsoft's Outlook and Adelphia Powerlink) so that I do
not lose mail,etc.
5. Question: When I set up my user id/password through
Outlook is it the same user id/password for Adelphia and
vice versa?
