I'm running a home network, XP as ICS and 98se as sidekick. I use dial-up
(am in the boonies - no high speed available)
If I connect to Internet with ICS then invoke IE from 98se, I get a robust
connection - works fine
but if I invoke OE from 98se, no joy; 98se simply tries to dial-up and says
do dial tone etc - it seems the 98se OE can't see XP.
Second problem: if I have first made a connection, and then invoke OE, as
soon as OE is running it instantly cuts my connection. Then the only way to
get at my e-mail is to invoke OE and use the dial-up dialog that presents
itself - the connection is then normal and robust.
Any help to clear up these minor but irritating problems will be much
appreciated
