Outlook Express Problems With Xp Sp2

I have updgraded to XP (e-mail address removed) and now when I try and follow a link to the internet from my Outlook Express it will no work. Now to add confussion to this problem my wife and I share the same PC but she uses Yahoo and she can follow internet links from her email just fine. Looking for ideas and suggestions. I want to stay with Outlook Express.
 
Go to tools within IE [top right hand side] dissable pop up stopper, or try holding down left Ctrl button while clicking the link.

Outlook Express Problems With Xpsp2 And Ie8

From Outlook Express I can't follow a link to IE8
and onto the Internet. I have tried turning off the pop up
blockers as with IE7 and it won't work now with IE8

Now if I use Yahoo.com with IE8 as my email I can follow
the link ok.

When I downloaded IE8 I had all kind of problems and now
I can't even do a system restore to an earlier date that
will work

Any one have any Ideas???

If there had been any warnings about compatability problems
noted with the upgrade I would not have not upgraded.
I have used Yahoo.com in the past for upgrades without any
problems
You think when you receive a message from Yahoo that an
upgrade is available you could trust it .
My mistake
