outlook express pictures

I can send and receive pictures fine in my outlook express 6. But whenever I
receive emails from my mother, who also uses oe6, the pictures are not in
the email. Instead, a small box with a red x is in its place. What does she
need to do? Update? Also, both computers use windows xp. Thanks!

Tools>Options>Send. Check the HTML settings are correct including
Send pictures with messages.

More likely, a picture must be saved to the HD first, and then
Inserted. Copy/Paste will give the box with a red x.

In the new message form should be a toolbar with a paper clip icon; that
icon opens the documents folder. Follow Bruce's information about sending
html items and saving pictures to HD first. Then use the paper clip to
locate the saved picture, then highlight wanted picture and click on
"Attach" at lower-right corner of the dialog box.
