outlook express not working

My outlook express keeps locking up. When I click on the x to close it jams and wont close. I get the box that says it is not responding. a box comes up that says end program now or cancel. it takes forever and sometimes I have to shut down my computer. also half the time when I try to send email it just wont go any clues? Thank you Lucy

This happens to one of my computers every so often. I can't find the
root-cause. I suspect a problem with the hard disk. Just a hunch.

I solve the problem by "un-installing" Outlook (although I understand
it's not a real-un-install) and then re-installing it. Use the "Add or
remove Programs and windows components" app in Control Panel. It's in
the windows components section.

This may or may not work for you ... I offer it as it works for me.
