Outlook Express messages

When I open Outlook Express it may say, "You have 5 new messages," but there
will only be 3 or 4 new messages, including those in my POP account plus my
old AOL IMAP account. Even counting what's in the AOL Spam folder it's
still not right.

Nothing is ever in the Norton Antispam folder in my POP account. I wonder
if that's where the mystery messages are going and being deleted before I
can review them.

Any ideas?

If you don't get a good response, try:

IE6/OE6 newsgroups.
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser

It's likely polling accounts other than those you are expecting it to,
possibly older unused ones.

Anything new in Deleted Items, even if it's marked as Read?
