Is there ANY way, to get, find, buy, have, whatever, OE in Vista? I HATE
Windows Mail,

TIA

Diane

No there isn't but you will be getting a replacement for it soon
enough...Windows Live Mail. There are probably 3rd party mail applications
out there that will work too.
I have Incredimail working in mine, although it isn't officially compatible,
yet.

Running XP in Vista is a way to have OE in Vista. You would be able
to do this by installing Virtual PC (a free download from Microsoft)
and showing it an XP CD. After installing the XP virtual machine
you would have XP (which has your beloved OE) running in Vista.

You get a performance hit vs. running XP all by itself. Requirements:

Is there a glimmer of hope (or reason to expect) that we may hate WLM less
than WM?

Well, all I can say is, it's different. Each account has it's own set of
mailboxes....it's actually quite well thought I guess.
It also has newsgroups, a newsreader and messenger links included.

As others have wrote, you cannot do this.
Although, you can install any Vista compatible email app of your choice &
there are many free options to choose from & many more commercial.
Try a few & see what you like.

Why not try the WLM beta and find out for yourself.
The two programs (WLM & WM) will readily exist side by side.

I think Windows Live Mail is actually a little bit better than the Vista
Windows Mail.

it's still not the same as Outlook Express, but there are a lot of new, neat
things in it.

I can't stand WLM, but it's better than IE for getting my Hotmail.
