I want to move 3 existing Outlook Express email accounts
(Cox broadband) to a new PC. The old PC runs Windows 98
and the new one runs Windows XP. They're connected via a
router/switch. I understand I need to transfer using
Windows Messenger? If so, how do I get it? Thanks. Dean.

Greetings Dean,

No, Windows Messenger has nothing to do with this. To move these over, on the Windows XP PC,
click Start, then Run, type "migwiz" and click OK. Simply go through the wizard, choose the
'New computer' option, and follow the instructions. You'll probably need to create a "Wizard
Disk" to run on your Windows 98 PC.

During the actual wizard on the Windows 98 PC, you'll be prompted for the information you
want to move over, if all you want to move is the Outlook Express data, choose "Let me select
a custom list..." and then choose Outlook Express as the Settings that you want to move over.
