Outlook Express - desperate for tech support to fix my problem.

I have been struggling with Outlook Express for the past two days and can get
no help that works. Let me emphasize that I am very much a technical novice,
so when I talk to tech support, what they're saying is generally Greek to me.

A friend has been at my house trying to help me for about 7 hours. And I
have spent another 4-5 hours on my own. I was just on hold with MSN tech
support (this time in Argentina; it was Manila last night) for almost half an
hour, waiting for an email specialist to come on the line. At the end of my
long wait, someone picked up the line and hung up. I called back, waited for
another 15 min., then asked for a supervisor and was told one would be
available between 10 minutes and an hour later.

It is now almost 11 PM and I need to get to sleep. My friend cannot come
back a third night in a row. And I am desperate for help to get Outlook
Express to work. And to talk with someone who will be slow, patient, and
explain things in a way that a *very* lay person will comprehend. I use my
computer and my email for work and am hampered by having only Hotmail right
now.

If a Microsoft MVP or Outlook Express power user could call me, I would be
eternally grateful. I am posting my work number, because it is the best way
to reach me. It is: 425-351-8010. Please leave me your contact information
so I can call you back when I'm at my computer. Thank you in advance.

I sympathize with your problem and the difficulties you are having
getting help. But I doubt if anyone is going to call you - this is not
how these groups work.

You should *exactly* describe what your problem (and system environment)
is, and someone will give you help in the newsgroup.

In addition, this specific newsgroup is not for Outlook Express, but for
the Microsoft Office 'Outlook' component. Please post your question at
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general -or-
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress

Meanwhile, until your OE problem is fixed, couldn't you use your ISP's
(or employer's) webmail interface to access your mail?
