Outlook Express data

I's like to reformat my hard drive but don't want to lose my email messages
and addresses. Can someone tell me where these files are kelp?

try the OE group...

however if you right click on your folders (inbox etc) in OE
select properties

click where it shows a path and drag to select all to the right
and copy then paste in say notepad ...

for example mine is
C:\Documents and Settings\SteveP\Local Settings\Application
Data\Identities\{E45CBF7A-DD82-44AD-B832-A14D50FEE05C}\Microsoft
\Outlook Express\Inbox.dbx

as you can see the file extension is *.dbx

In IE - Tools/Options/Maintenance/Store Folder. Change the location to
something convenient. You will be asked if you want to move your files to
the new location. Click yes. All done. In future, you can put your store
folder somewhere easier to backup in the first place.
