Outlook express crash when receiving emails from POP3

Hi, when retrieving emails from POP3, my outlook
express (both version 5.5 and 6.0) crashes with
this error:

msimn.exe exception: access violation 0x77f64xxx
where xxx can be 7db, a61 or 874, etc.

I have tried things like reinstalling IE, OE,
applied all patches, refresh *.wab, but
the problem happen again when I load back the
email store folder with about 1GB worth of emails.

Any ideas how to prevent this from happening? thanks
