Hello, I am new to this and am having a problem with some
folders I backed up onto floppy disks.
In Outlook Express I clicked on File and then "Folders"
and "compact" then all my emails were compacted into .dbx
files and I was able to back these up onto floppy disks.
I did this because my computer had to go into the shop and
I did not want to lose my emails.
Everything is on the floppy disk but when I try to open it
I get computer language on the screen. lots of boxes and
stars etc.
How can I open this and read my emails? This is my big
question. I cannot believe I have lost everything I was
trying to save.
Please help, anyone ;)

Only Outlook Express can make sense of those files. You'll have to get
them back into the right location on you hard drive. There's lots of
infromation on this subject here: http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/backup/
