driving me crazy.
any insight? the message I get when I click on
attachments is OE removed access to the following unsafe
attachment. Even when its coming from inside my office.

Outloook Express automatically detects attachments that could be unsafe
and
removes them so that they cannot be opened - when you see that message, it
is because the "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could
potentially be a virus" option is turned on and Outlook Express determined
that the e-mail attachment is not safe. This is the default setting in
Outlook Express 6 SP1.

If only these programs provided a consistent interface for setting options
like this. You know? Something like an "Options" area on the main menu
where the user could go in and change how certain parts of the program
behave. If it were me I would probably sub-divide that area into sections
that group various options together. Like..."Security" would be a section
and all of the options having to do with security would all be found in
that one section.

This would make finding these settings so easy that nobody would ever have
to ask about them in Newsgroups ever again.

Oh well, who know how programmers think? ;-)
