Outlook Express, attachment not accessible

I received an e-mail with attchments in .doc format. Outlook Express (v6) conveniently disables such attachments as it regards them as unsafe. Yet, I would like to read those attachments anyway. How can I enable the filenames in the popup menu bar (where the filenames appeares) as they now are disabled?
 
Open OE, click on Tools/Options/Security and uncheck the box which says 'Do
not allow attachments......'
