What are the advantages of using OE as my default email?
I heard somewhere that it was easily infected. Often
when I have tried to use it, the messages don't get sent
and come back as errors. Is there a good tutorial on
using this? And discussing pros and cons as to using it
as default mail?

Hi Sharon,

I've been using OE, as well as other email clients, for years. There is
nothing wrong with using it as the default email client. All clients have
some vulnerabilities, you just need to use some precautions. There is lots
of good advice on this site from MVP Tom Koch:

Just use common sense, like not opening attachments without first scanning
them. Set OE to the restricted zone so that embedded controls are not run
automatically. Set the read setting to see everything in plain text rather
than rich (html) text.
