When installed on my Sony Vaio, six months ago, (Windows
XP) Outlook Express 6 worked fine. It was there
instantly. But last 2 days, it takes up to two minutes
to load from boot-up; and even when clicking on to
Outlook Exp 6, it still takes 2 minutes just to open up
Any ideas why so slow?
I have visited Microsoft website and dowloaded and
installed all the latest updates

Help!

The answer is simple, it's not just the CPU causes
your problem, it's your internet connection !!! when you
click on "outlook express" it's actually receiving data
from your fixed e-mail account which is provided by you
ISP. What you received from your fixed e-mail account
must also be received in "outlook express"...
And also if you've got lots of emails so it also
takes a lot of time to open-up!!! But if you don't
believe that this is not the cause, well it could be your
hardwares such as RAM(less memory),CPU(slow process),HARD
DRIVE(low rpm), etc...

this is probably msn messenger the latest version slows
down outlook and some office progs disable it at startup
and try that also look in the options and don't use
messenger with outlook express
