There is this little thing called the DoJ and they like to sue if they think MS
is pushing other companies out of business (which they would if they included a
good antispam or antivirus program as a core component for free.) It's also
possible that if MS includes it, it won't be free... or it won't be very good.
Outlook 98 included junk filtering and while it worked, it wasn't the best or
most accurate.
As for no "weird glitches"... i wouldn't count on that on any software from MS
or any company. Everyone makes makes mistakes when working with millions of
lines of code and a small company.. OE has enough of it's own in that
department already.
Mailwasher is one of the best, it's been around for years and works well with
any mail program. It's not integrated into OE like some others are... but you
you really prefer using an MS solution, create rules that filter by keyword.
How come every time I open my e-mail, out of 33 downloads,
only 2 are legitimately for me and the rest are spam? Can
you not incorporate into Outlook Express a good Spam
Filter system? I would feel so much safer having it coming
from the company I am using rather than sownloading a spam
program from someone else and hope that it doesn't create
weird problems, glitches or messes with Outlook itself.
