Outlook Express 6.0 Deletes Yesterday's Messages Automatically

Why does OE delete yesterday's messages w/o my telling it to do so?
Sometimes I have not read/looked at all the messages and want to look at
them tomorrow.

Are you talking about recieved e/mail messages? or

newsgroup messages? If you mean newsgroup messagaes then
you did tell it to delete them.Look under maintenance in
the tools section of OE.
 
It does not delete messages on closing. Rather, when I boot up OE it loads
the folder then deletes the message and headers before downloading today's
messages. None of the Clean Up boxes are checked. That's what I thought,
initially.
