Outlook Exp and Internet disconnect

I suddenly find that both OE and Int Explorer disconnect for no apparent
reason; a message appears advising me that the link has disconnected and
that re-connection is pending. There is then a 60 second countdown and
re-connection then occurs. When I click on "More information" I am advised
that no information is available. Can anyone offer any advice? Many thanks
 
Since this has suddenly started happening, the first things I'd suggest is
making sure your antivirus software is up to date and run a scan on your
system. Also, check for malware, download, install and run Ad Aware:
www.lavasoftusa.com.

If they come up clean, try using System Restore to take you back to a time
prior to when this began, Start\All Programs\Accessories\System
Tools\System Restore.
 
Also check to make sure Outlook Express isn't set up to
automatically disconnect (hangup if you're on dialup)
after sending or receiving messages.
