Outlook exits by itself, Help Please!?

I recently moved from Outlook Express to Outlook. It is generally a good
thing as Outlook offers a lot more. But....

Outlook keeps exiting by itself, does send/ receive and prompts me to OK
empty deleted items.

Guess I set-it up wrong but can't see how to fix it. Please help!

I do want outlook to auto empty deleted items but I don't want it shutting
down all the time!

Do you get any error messages? What version of Outlook? What type of
account?
does send/ receive

Isn't this a good thing? Don't you want it to send and receive?
and prompts me to
OK empty deleted items.

Tools>Options>Other>Advanced Options. Uncheck "Warn before permanently
deleting items".
