I recently installed Microsoft Office 2003. When I close Outlook it
leave two instances of Outlook.exe in Task Manager Processes. So,
everytime I start Outlook I have to delete Outlook.exe from processes,
or it will not start. How can I correct this problem?

1) Get http://www.sunflowerhead.com/software/knockout so you can see if
outlook is running hidden.
2) Do you use a PDA? If so, cradle it after you start outlook and remove it
before you close outlook. Any program from stamps.com to winfax to Franklin
covey planner that hooks into outlook's data can keep it running.

The most common scenarios for this occuring is a docked PDA, Winfax Pro
installed, Franklin Covey Plan Plus!, or other software that interfaces with
Outlook such as AV set to scan incoming mail. Does any of this apply to
your situation?

Thank you, Winfax was the culprit. I removed it, and the problem is solved.

Thanks Again,
