Hi All. I'm getting an Outlook error that doesn't make
too much sense to me. I'm hoping you can help. I am
trying to make a simple change so that when Outlook opens
I go directly to my inbox. Right now I get the standard
page with "Customize Outlook Today" in the upper right
hand corner above "messages." I have to click
on "messages" to get to my inbox. I guess I should
mention that I recently upgraded from Windows Me to
Windows XP Home Edition. When I click on Tools and then
customize I get the following error message: "Cannot
customize when Outlook dialogue boxes are open. Please
close windows, such as the one named """" and try again."
There are no windows open as far as I can tell and this
feature seems to be disabled for whatever reason. Has
anyone come across this and can you help? Thanks in
advance. -JF

Specify the folder to open when you start Outlook
1.. On the Tools menu, click Options.

2.. Click the Other tab, and then click Advanced Options.

3.. In the Startup in this folder box, click the folder you want to appear
when you start Outlook.
