Am having trouble opening my Outlook folders. I had to
create new folders to even use Outlook but cannot access
any old mail and can't access my address book. I think the
problem was caused when I tried to archive my mail (last
thing done before the trouble started). I get the
message: "Unable to display the folder. Errors have been
detected in the file C:\WINDOWS\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outloo.pst. Quit all mail-enabled
applications, and then use the Inbox Repair Tool." My
question is Where/What/How is the Inbox Repair Tool? I've
looked in Outlook Help, and have even scanned my C drive
for it.

I am having a similar problem and posted it here as well.
I don't, for he life of me, understand why Microsoft made
this such a complicated situation. Why can't it have
password protection like any other program. Just type in a
user name and password and you should be able to get in
and use the "pst" files. Signed: dumbfounded.
