Outlook error message

When trying to open a link in an email I receive this error message. I can
forward the email to my gmail account and open the link. It is suggested that
I delate Outlook and resore from my orginal disk then restore from my backup
files on my external drive from the Backup and Restore option with VISTA /
Microsoft. It is also suggested that I go to Tools - Internet Options -
Advanced Tab - Click on Reset. This has not worked!

What is the the best fix?

No one here can see at what you are pointing on your monitor.
