Hi F.H,

It is Outlook Express 2003 (Small Business Edition). Can you help me out on
this ?

Rgds,

Rohit

Outlook Express is part of IE and the O/S.
Outlook is part of SBE.
They are two different programs.

Which one are you referring to?

Actually, I'm a little confused. I'm pretty sure that Outlook Express
didn't have a 2003 version, but remained at 6.0, and that it doesn't come
with Small Business Edition, but is included with Windows. Outlook 2003
*does* have a Small Business Edition but is an entirely different piece of
software than Outlook Express.

Why don't we try to figure out what you're using. If you right click on the
icon that you'd normally use to start the software that won't run and select
Properties, what is the Target on the Shortcut tab?

Click on Help and scroll to About. It will tell you exactly what you're using.
There's Microsoft Outlook (various versions). There's Outlook Express
(various versions).
Outlook Express is part of Internet Explorer. Microsoft Outlook is part of
Microsoft Office. There's quite a bit of difference between the two.
You need to be specific about what you're using, including the version.

Assuming you mean outlook, the fix that works for most people is a new
profile. control panel, mail. Don't delete the old one just yet and don't
copy it - make a new one.

Hi Tom,

Diane's suggestion was a good first step.
Assuming XP:
Go to Control Panel - Mail
click Show Profiles
Select Prompt for a profile to be used.
Click Add
Call the profile something you will recognize as the profile you're
creating.
Click Add a new e-mail account and hit Next.
Walk through the wizard setting up the account in whatever format it should
be set up as.
Once all the way back, Ok out of the Mail applet and then try to start
Outlook again.
