Outlook Enterprise 2007

I am running Microsoft Windows XP. I installed Office Enterprise 2007 and it
worked fine until a couple of days ago. The program will open but i cannot
open the actual e-mail......a pop up window comes up which reads:
CANNOT OPEN THIS ITEM. THE TEXT FORMATTING COMMAND IS NOT AVAILABLE. IT MAY
NOT BE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INSTALL MICROSOFT OUTLOOK AGAIN.
I have tried to reinstall/repair the Enterprise 07 but still cannot open the
e-mails.
What can i do to correct this problem.

Will Outlook open in Safe mode? - outlook.exe /safe
Try starting outlook with a new profile.

Does it work when you use Outlook in Outlook Safe Mode?
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe
