We had a hard drive crash months ago; we've kept the damaged hard
drive after it was replaced by a new one. I had a lot of emails in
Outlook, and I'm wondering if there's anyway that they could be
retrieved. I know there are some
experts who can recover data from hard drives, but can the emails be
retrieved another way?
Thanks, Robynn C.
Please email me at (e-mail address removed) if you have any ideas.

Oooh, it could be a job for good old MSDOS. It's very
simple to pop in a MSDOS floppy start up disc and view
the C:/ directory, find the mailbox files for outlook and
copy them out. Alternatively, you could boot up with
MSDOS and try and retrieve them normally :)

Sorry lol, your post caught my attention :)

Retrieved another way besides from the old hard drive? No, not unless all
the email was still stored on your email server. Chances are it wasn't
since a new install of Outlook Express would have pulled them down.

Have you tried hooking up the old drive and taking a look?
