I am now using MS Office 2007 Beta with a third party program, ACT 2005 in
which I use Word as the word processor. When I send e-mails from ACT 2005,
using ACT as the ord processor, the messages go into Outlook’s outbox as
“received†e-mails that have been opened. In addition, they will not send
and I must open and forward them to the receipent.

You might want to try posting to a newsgroup that actually covers your topic.
If you had issues with Windows Defender, someone would chime right in.

Peculiar interactions between ACT! and anticipatory releases of otherwise
unsupported Offices products are not generally our cup of tea in this forum.

Sorry.

Sadly, this is the only newsgroup I was directed to use. Is anyone aware of
a more appropriate newsgroup?

Try the newsgroup search in the upper left corner. Enter "Office beta" or
"office 2007" for starters.

From past experience, your promlem is most likely to lie within ACT!. I
suspect that they will have it resolved by the time they are prepared to
release ACT! 2007. in another ten to twelve months. ;-)

You might want to switch to Microsoft CRM or BCM.
