Hi,

I have just upgraded from Exchnage 5.5 - Exchange 2003. I had a number of
customised forms which I have published on the new server.

When a user with Outlook 2000 attempts to customise their view within
Outlook and add one of the fields from the customised form they get an
"Operation Failed" message.

This works fine however on Outlook 2002 and 2003.

Any ideas how to fix this, SP3 is applied.

Thanks,

Chris

The form, associated with a public folder is a simple modification of the
IPM.Task form. I have added a number of text Comboboxes to the form with drop
down lists associated with a defined field. Within the view for the public
folder, users need to be able to add the field to their view. When they right
click the Fields in the view and choose, Customize Current View, Fields,
Select available fields from the published form, the field is listed on the
left. When you then click add, a dialogue box appears stating "Operation
Failed". I have Outlook 2000, 2002 and 2003 clients and this is only
affecting Outlook 2002. With my old Exchange 5.5 server it worked with all
versions of Outlook.

I did find the following article which describes a similar problem but upon
checking the resolutions described, both settings are set as they should be.

Thanks,

Chris

I have seen this when the users local form cache folder is corrupt.
so try deleting the items in their cache folder which is something like

C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\FORMS

and then restart Outlook
