W2k, Word 2002 Sp3, Outlook 2002 Sp3.
I am frustrated with not being able to have a usable address book to use in
Word to address single letters (not mail merge). I have a very nice Contacts
file in Outlook, but Word can't seem to find recent additions. I had a
Contacts file, an Outlook Address Book file, and a Personal Address Book. I
believe I received incorrect advice from an MVP to delete them and rebuild
the Outlook Address Book. I still have the extensive Contacts file however,
but I can't seem to get that data into Outlook Address Book which I believe
is what Word wants to use.
When in Word and I call up the address book, I get 2 choices--"Show Names
from the Contacts or Outlook Address Book" Choosing "Contacts" yields
names sorted by first names, not by last as the Contacts data is organized,
and doesn't show recent additions to the Contacts list in Outlook.
What can I do to make this more usable? How can I get my Contacts data into
the Outlook Address Book?
Thanks
