I use Windows XP on my home computer and have two users
set-up. Me and my 11 year old daughter. Though we have
different desktops etc, and different e-mail addresses
from our ISP we share contacts in Outlook. I would like
us to have different Contacts files (I'm not interested
in her friends or she in mine). How can I set up XP or
Outlook so that I keep my contacts list, and my daughter
hers ?

Thanks.

Although this is a windows newsgroup, this question would be better answered in
an outlook newsgroup, I can give you some pointers. When using outlook for
different users, you should think about setting up profiles in outlook. When
first run, a default profile is usually created. To create and/or modify
additional profiles, do the following:
1) Right click the outlook icon>properties>show profiles, there is one already
listed. At the bottom, check that "when starting outlook, prompt for a profile"
is checked.
2) Click add and enter a profile name. Click next.
3) Click 'view or change existing email accounts' and click next.
4) Click 'New outlook data file', click ok and enter a name for the pst folder.
Click ok and you'll be brought back to where you can add email accounts to that
profile, i.e. your daughter's email account.
5) Ok your way out when done.

Note, you may have to do the same in your own profile, but it's not necessary.
Just choose your outlook profile when you open outlook from within your system
account profile. Ditto for your daughter as well. HTH
