Outlook contacts disappear when writing an email

How come when I try to send something an email, there name disappears after I
add them to the senders line? This only happens 50% of the time, but it is so
weird.
I have tried to detect and repair but it says the installation produc soruce
is not available.

Are you entering e-mail *addresses*? Or are you adding *names* (and
expecting them to resolve from your nickname cache or address book to
an e-mail address)? You said you enter their "name". In the contact
record for that recipient, what e-mail address is specified for them?
If you're using the Business Contact Manager, I can't help you there.

How many contacts are you adding in the To or Cc fields? Perhaps you
entered so many that the list scrolled up (so now the previously
entered addresses are out of view and you have to scroll up to see
them).

You will need the installation CD when you perform a repair.
