In Outlook 2007 when I modify or create a new contact, the name is displayed
backwards. First name as last and last name as first. This could have started
a couple of months ago without me noticing until recently.
What has changed here? The older contacts are displayed OK until I have to
save a change to them.

You failed to specify to what view you are referring and how you configured
that view. You will very likely answer your own question once you examine
that. Outlook is doing exactly what you've told it to.

This is a lame response. Where else would I be talking about than "file as"
and "business card". You are not providing any insight, only criticism of the
question.

No. That was a lame post. Not even a mind reader could have know to what
view and what field you were referring. We don't even know the version. It
is a waste of everyone's time when you fail to post sufficient information.
Now post the rest of the information I requested and you will find your
answer: your default setting for the File As... field is.............?
