Using Outlook 2000. When I forward a record from the Contacts section, The
appropriate E mail form is displayed with the appropriate icon attachment.
However when recipient receives the E mail the icon is changed to a small
envelope and the contact page is not displayed when the recipient opens the
envelope. Just some E mail stuff about who sent it etc.

Other people can send me contacts and I receive them with the appropriate
icon displayed.

Either use the Forward as vCard command or use rich-text format for messages that you use to send contact records.

Sue, do you have an idea why it does that ?

cause I have the same problem with some people, they receive my contact
as an enveloppe attachment and cannot open it.

but i don't want to think of changing the RTF format each time i send a
contact...

If you want to send an actual Outlook contact, you must use RTF for the message format. If you want to send just a vCard, use the Forward as vCard command.

Hi

I am using exchange 2003 sp2 with outlook 2003 sp2 . When I forward a vcard
the recipient only gets a blank .msg file . When I instert a contact into my
email the same problem . I have tried sending as rtf , text only using word
as my email editor , and not and still the same problem .The only way I can
sent a vcard is if I save it as vcard manually in outlook then manually
attach it to the email which is quite annoying . When I use my outlook at
home which is not on an exchange server i can forward vcards fine .

Is there any other documentation on this problem ?

Thanks
