Outlook Categories: transferring from Outlook 2002 to Outlook 2003

I am attempting to transfer my master categories from Outlook 2002 on my old
laptop to Outlook 2003 on my new laptop. I followed the instructions as
described at:

When I double click on the 2002 master category file copied from my old
laptop, it updates the masterlist under 10.0/Outlook/Categories, not the
masterlist under 11.0 which is the masterlist used by Outlook 2003.

Since I am not one to experiment within the Registry, is there a way that I
can copy the 10.0 masterlist to 11.0? Thanks...

Edit the registry file you exported and replace 10.0 with 11.0. Then import
it again.

Did you follow this instruction on the web page you mentioned?
"To use any of these methods to move categories to another computer
using a compatible version of Outlook, you'll need to change the
version number in the key before importing."

There is an ingenious tool available written by Klemens Schmid
<http://www.klemid.de/tools.aspx>: Transfer Outlook Master Categories.
It's an Excel workbook and some VBA code which can read and write
Outlook Master Categories between OL 9, 10, 11.
