I just installed Outlook 2002 and Word 2002 on my laptop. When trying to
create a new email, msg says Word is setup as e-mail editor but busy or
cannot be found. Yet I can open Word and edit files. How can I get Outlook to
recognize Word as my e-mail editor? Also when I click on the calendar
shortcut on the left nav bar, msg says "unable to display the folder,
Micosoft Outlook could not access the specified folder location". Why? I can
see calendar entries when clicking on the next shortcut for "contacts".
Please help.

I just bought a new laptop and installed XP as the operating system. I have
never used Outlook before. Previously used Outlook Express for my personal
e-mail system. I want to use Outlook as it is a better e-mail system and has
a calendar function for my BlackBerry. Next step after fixing the problems
below is to reload the BB to use Outlook calendar. Previously used Lotus
Notes for IBM business but recently laid off.

Did you install them as part of the office suite or as individual
applications? I think you need them as part of the suite. Assuming they
are part of the suite, do you have more than one version of office
installed? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/319796/en-us

For the broken shortcuts, delete it and drag a new one for that folder to
the shortcut bar.
