I read the notes regarding the requirement to load a "fix"
to allow Outlook 2000 to extend it's calendar into 2003
and beyond. This was a Microsoft solution and once loaded
I could no longer get into my calendar. It generates an
error which I send to Microsoft but I do not get any
answers back. I had no real requirement for my calendar
at home until around August of last year so that's when I
tried to load the fix. I have not found a solution in 5
months. I need to start using my home calendar on a daily
basis. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Dennis

What is the error that you get?
Do you still need the information that is in that calendar?

I get the standard windows XP error... "encountered an
error... do you want to send report to microsoft"
I don't need anything in the calendar I just want to get
at it... thought about reloading outlook but not sure
about my shared PST file if the path would be lost and
then I would need to re-link it?

Look on the Slipstick site for Ffolder Utility:

Ffolder Utility: Utility to rename or delete "special"
Outlook folders such as the Calendar, Tasks, Inbox, and
Contacts. VB source code included.
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/gallery/index.htm#ffolder

Look on technet for the information on how to rebuild the
Calendar system folder with the "/ResetFolders" switch:

OL2000: Additional Command-Line Switches
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;197180

1) Delete the "messed up system Calendar folder" using the
Ffolder Utility.
2) Rebuild your Calendar system folder using the ".../ResetFolders"
switch

Thanks for the fix... I needed to install CDO first, then
ran Ffolder, ran Outlook in command line mode with
ResetFolders switch... all went as advertised... problem
resolved... Thanks again.
