Outlook calendar holidays

I'm trying to add some of the international holidays to my
outlook 2000 calendar by going to the calendar options in
the tools--->options menu. Outlook indicates that it is
adding the holidays, but non of them show on my calendar,
I'm even missing the standard US holidays (such as thank
giving) which still don't appear after I re-add them using
the same option. Any idea on how to get this to work. Thanks.
