Outlook calendar as desktop view?

I would like to have my outlook calendar be our desktop view so the kids can
see the daily schedule with my having to do anything. Is this possible?

did this work for you? I believe that there is an easier way, just not sure
what it is...any help?
 
Did what work? We only see what is in the post, which isn't much.

Options include:

Gadgets if using vista or win7.
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/calendar.asp - outlook on the desktop or
plainsight desktop.
