Hi,
I got new XP laptop, and I installed on it BETA 2003
office.
the outlook was configured to work with Exchange server,
and it recognize my user on the server.
Now, when I click on the outlook icon it looks like
something starting to work, and than I get "Cannot start
Microsoft Outlook. Unable to open the Outlook window. The
set of folders could not be opend."

and the outlook is gone.

PLEASE help.
Thanks

is the laptop connected to the exchange server when you open outlook? that
error likely means it can't find exchange... you could try a new profile.

I am having the exact same problem and have tried all the solutions
suggested in the newsgroups including:

- Deleting and creating a new profile.
- Reinstalling
- Checking that the keys are properly defined in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Rpc\ClientProtocols
- Checking to make sure that Port 135 is open by telnetting to exchange
server on port 135
- Checking to see that I can ping the exchange server
- Adding the excahnge server to my hosts file on the client machine.

Funny part is that from the same box, I can connect to the same exchange
server without incident with Outlook XP if I uninstall Outlook 2003. There
are a lot of these posts already and I haven't seen a solution yet.
