I am getting an error message when I try to open a
contact in BCM. "Form could not be opened...array index
out of bounds".

Please help!

Business Contact Manager is new enough that we don't have a lot of solid troubleshooting information yet. If you get errors, you should initiate a support incident with Microsoft at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;en-us;incidentsubmit.You will need a .Net Passport, but there should be no charge for filing the request for help.

Hmmm... Am getting the same error. Rather unfortunate since I've just loaded all my Marketing Data in BCM. Has this bug been fixed yet?

What error? What bug? Your message is a bit short on details. Please take the time to quote the original message so that people reading your current response can understand what you're talking about. Otherwise, you may not receive the answer you're looking for.

Hello all.

I've had the same problem. Here is what I did to solve it:

1. I exported the business database (File->Business Database->Export)
2. Then I deleted the existing business database (File->Data File
management->Business Contact Manager->Remove)
3. After that I made a new business database (File->Data File
Management->Add->Business Contact Manager database)
4. I then imported the business database back (File->Business
Database->Restore->[look for the backup you made in step 1])

I restored my all business contacts with their history and the form
works now.

:cool:

Bye

I get the same message every day. The only way I've found to correct it is to close Outlook then reopen it. That usually corrects the problem (you get a message saying "a form is being installed on your machine"). This doesn't always work, but if it fixes the problem it remains fixed until the next time you reboot. I have about 500+ contacts in BCM.

Try clearing the forms cache -- Tools | Options | Other | Advanced Options | Custom Forms | Manage Forms | Clear Cache. If that doesn't work, you may want initiate a support incident with Microsoft at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;en-us;incidentsubmit.You will need a .Net Passport, but there should be no charge for filing the request.

Let us know if that solves the problem. Also, are you using any tool to synchronize BCM data with a PDA? What about anti-virus software that hooks into Outlook? Is this happening with just the Business Contacts folder?

I also get this error and now can't open any of my business contacts in
the proper form that contains their histories. Instead I get a default
regular outlook form.

I tried clearing the forms cache as suggested above as well as
allocating more space for forms in that same dialog box. It didn't
help.

I had NAV junk mail hooked in, but Outlook flagged it as having a
problem so I disabled it.

Outlook junk mail is turned on.

This has rendered access to my Business contacts impossible. Any fixes
would be greatly appreciated.

Did the restore utility restore your history, or did you have to
re-link everything?

Thanks,
