Outlook Automatic Name Check and Completing

All,

My problem is I sent one guy an email once and now every time I try to send an email to a similar name his pops up first. His address isn't in my PAB or Contacts list; but it is in the Global. I can't seem to find an answer for this issue anywhere. I found that when I delete everything in the \Doc&Set\User\App Data\Microsoft\Outlook folder it solves this problem, but then nothing gets auto completed. I tried disabling auto completion, exiting Outlook, restarting, enabling auto complete, and checked to see if it would build the replacement file, but it doesn't. I scrapped everything in the same area of my local settings, but that didn't change anything noticeable. Any idea where this cache file is?

Remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting
the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to
migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of
the field. To clear the entire cache, follow the instructions here:

Thanks a lot Russ. Your example for deleting the individual name worked; but the MS support directions didn't. I couldn't find any files with the .NK2 extension, even though I unhid everything and closed Outlook. Either way, mission accomplished.

You have to enable both the search and display of hidden folders to find the
NK2. You must have one or you wouldn't be getting the suggested names list.
