Outlook Autofills Old Deleted Email Address

In the To line of a new email, if I type in the name of a contact I want to
send an email to, it autofills the To email address of an old email for that
contact that was deleted and replaced with a new email address. Why is
Outlook doing this and what do I need to do to stop or change it? I thought
perhaps it used an autofill or autocorrect function like Word, but I have not
been able to figure it out. Thanks in advance. Ted.

Remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting
the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to
migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of
the field. To clear the entire cache, follow the instructions here:
