I am trying to set-up one of our computers so that their
Outlook will automatically suggest names when they only
type in part of the name. Example. User types jsmith
and the computer automatically fills (e-mail address removed).
However, I cannot find this option anywhere. I have
looked on Tools, Advanced e-mail options however the
check box for suggest names on To, CC, and BCC is not
there like it is on our other machines.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Outlook doesn't have an autocomplete. Outlook 2002 and 2003 have a cache for
previously used addresses though. Use CTRL+K for name checking (for some
localized versions this is CTRL+M)

I know it is not autocomplete. However, on three of the
machines with XP there is a box to check for Suggest
names while completing To, CC, BCC. However, this is not
on the fourth machine which has XP. Is there some sort
of update for Outlook that may have been loaded on the
other three. This fourth machine does not remember any
addresses that has been typed into it no matter how many
times you do an e-mail. So I am curious as to know why 3
machines would have a cache and not this one.
