outlook attachments

my client has 10 workstations running outlook 2000 with a
server running exchange.
last week all of a sudden they started being unable to
send, or rcv any attachments of any kind.
they are also running symantec antivirus corp 8.0.

thanks in advance
Kevin

your symantec may be stripping off attachments based on
file extensions. there is a registry setting that you
can use on the client side (and i'm sure on the server
side there is a fix too) that will let you add extensions
that can be let through. we have to do this on certain
users computers who may need certain types of attachments
that we don't want any other users to get.
