outlook attachments

Recently I took many photographs of my son's wedding and have been trying to
send them via outlook to relatives.
There is a lack of consistency in the delivery, on every occasion I drag and
drop the jpeg photos into the new message and send them.
My daughter received them OK as did my granddaughter but my son did not nor
did his best man.
I tried sending them to myself at my hotmail address and found that if I
restricted the number of photos to less than 5 then they went but if I sent
12 they did not.
Has anyone any idea what can be going on?

There may be limits or blocks on what is allowed to their email address. I
would suggest using an online photo sharing, which are alot of fun and easy
to access and setup. The one I use is www.snapfish.com.

There could be limits imposed by your recipients' ISP's as to what size email
they can receive. It could be their email client not reading what Outlook has
sent if you're using Rich Text Format which is specific to Outlook.

I find it much easier to share large files by using either a photo-sharing
website, MyFamily.com (news, photos, events, etc.), or by uploading large
zipped files to yousendit.com.
 
Use your photo editor to resize the photos to send in emails. MS Office
Picture Manager works well.
 
Also make sure photos are jpg files, not bmp which are too large for email.
Rename the edited copy to save a copy of the originals in the original size,
too.

And my guess is that you composed your message in Rich Text format. Your
daughter uses Outlook or Eudora, which can see RIch Text attachments, and
your granddaughter and your sone use Outlook Express, which cannot see Rich
Text attachments and ignores them.
