Hello,
I am not able to send any attachments with Outlook 2000
without them duplicating to 4 or 6 or even 32 messages.
Then they are still garbled.

I have McAfee Home version with firewall. I was using
Outlook Express 6 and had the same problem.

Ideas?? I have all the updates from the Microsoft site.

The firewall shouldn't be preventing you from sending attachments - it's
more for screening incoming stuff and making sure no programs on your system
are trying to get internet access that you don't think should have it.
Obviously, Outlook has access.

Normal mail isn't duplicated - only when you attach something? What kind of
attachments? What happens if you attach a small txt file to an email and
send it to yourself. Do you end up sending multiple copies (does your send
box show multiple sends) AND do you receive the same number of copies? Do
the messages clear out of your outbox once they're sent? Are you certain
you're sending to a person and not to a group that accidentally got named as
a person?
